Vegetable stew with pork

Ingredients for 4 portions

1 Piece Onion
600 g Pork (diced for goulash)
300 g Baby Carrots (Frozen)
200 g Green Beans (Frozen)
200 g Peas (Frozen)
1 Tbsp Butter
1 Piece Pear
500 mg Vegetable brotd
150 mg Grüner Veltliner (white wine)
100 mg Whipping Cream
1 Pinch Salt
1 Pinch Nutmeg

Preparation

  1. First, peel and dice the onion for the stew. Heat butter in a pot and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the pork, brown it well, and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Once the meat is browned, deglaze with the vegetable broth and wine, bring to a boil, and simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes.
  3. After 30 minutes, add the peas, baby carrots, and green beans. Bring to a boil again and simmer for 5 minutes over medium heat.
  4. Meanwhile, peel and core the pear. Cut into small pieces and add to the pot. Let simmer for another 5-10 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the meat is soft. Finally, remove the pot from the heat, stir in the cream, and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
