Szegediner Goulash

Ingredients for 4 portions

800 g Pork shoulder
3 pcs Onion
4 tbsp Clarified butter
750 g Sauerkraut
2 pcs Potato
2 tbsp Paprika powder
2 tbsp Tomato paste
1 tsp Salt
1 cup Sour cream

Preparation

  1. First, cut the meat into cubes for the Szegediner Goulash. Peel and finely chop the onions. Heat the fat in a deep pan and roast the onions in it. Add the meat and sauté for about 15 minutes.
  2. Drain the sauerkraut well and mix it in. Peel, grate, and add the potato to the meat. Season with salt, paprika, and tomato paste.
  3. Finally, stir in the sour cream and let the goulash simmer for about 45 minutes, until the meat is tender.
