Spinach cutlet

Ingredients for 4 portions

4 Pcs Pork Schnitzel
0.5 kg Spinach
250 g Mushrooms
125 ml Cream
4 Slices Ham
4 Slices Cheese
100 ml Soup, for pouring
1 Tsp Salt
1 Pinch Pepper

Preparation

  1. Cook the fresh spinach in slightly salted water, then rinse with cold water and pat dry. If using frozen spinach, thaw it and pat dry as well.
  2. Season the schnitzels with salt and pepper, then fry them in oil or butter. Place a slice of ham on each schnitzel, top with spinach, and then a slice of cheese. Pour some broth over them, cover, and let them simmer for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
  3. Clean and slice the mushrooms, then fry them in oil. Deglaze with cream and season with salt and pepper. Pour the mushroom sauce over the finished spinach schnitzels and serve hot.
