Roast pork with onions

Ingredients for 3 portions

600 g Pork shoulder roast
2 pcs Onion
1 clove Garlic
2 tsp Caraway
1 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Lard

Preparation

  1. Peel the garlic and chop it together with the caraway and salt using a rocking knife. Melt the lard, mix it with the chopped spices, and rub the meat all around with it.
  2. Peel the onion, cut it into eighths, and place it around the meat in a roasting pan. Pour in some water and roast covered in a preheated oven at 150°C for 60 minutes.
  3. Then continue roasting uncovered for 30 minutes, after which roast the pork roast at 200°C for another 30 minutes until done.
