1 | Pieces | large onion, sliced into rings |
400 | g | floury potatoes |
2 | Pieces | garlic cloves, crushed |
1 | Pinch | ground cumin |
1 | Pinch | salt |
1 | Pinch | freshly ground pepper |
1 | Tbsp | Tomato paste |
1 | Tsp | Paprika powder |
2 | Tbsp | Oil |
20 | g | Butter |
1 | Tbsp | Chives for sprinkling |
Preparation
- Peel, wash and slice the potatoes for the schnitzel potato pan.
- Gently pound the schnitzel, make several cuts around the edges, season with salt and pepper, and rub with garlic and caraway.
- Heat oil in a pan and quickly fry the schnitzel on both sides, then remove and keep warm.
- Melt butter in the remaining fat in the pan and roast the onion rings in it.
- Mix the onions with the tomato paste and paprika powder and stir well.
- Add the pre-fried schnitzel and raw potato slices, pour in enough hot water to just cover the meat and potatoes.
- Simmer everything over low heat until tender.
