Pork belly cutlets

Ingredients for 2 portions

400 g Pork Belly (lean)
0.5 tsp Marjoram (fresh)
30 g Flour (smootd)
1 Pc Egg (whisked)
70 g Breadcrumbs
0.250 l Oil (for frying)

Preparation

  1. The cartilage and the sinew are removed from the pork belly, then the meat is thinly pounded with a meat mallet.
  2. Next, the pork belly is seasoned on both sides with salt, pepper, and marjoram. The meat is then coated in flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  3. The oil is heated in a large pan over medium heat and the schnitzel is fried until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Finally, the meat is briefly drained on kitchen paper.
