Pork and beans

Ingredients for 6 portions

2 kg Pork roast
6 Pcs Garlic cloves, pressed
1 Pcs Onion
1 Can White beans, drained
500 g Green beans, precooked
2 Tbsp Lard
2 Can Chunky tomatoes
1 Tbsp Salt
0.5 Tsp Ground caraway

Preparation

  1. Season the meat well with salt, garlic, and caraway seeds, and fry together with a halved onion in lard. Pour in hot water and place in a preheated oven at 170 degrees.
  2. After 1 hour of roasting time, turn the meat and roast for about another hour, basting frequently.
  3. Then add the tomatoes to the roasting juices. Place the green beans on one side next to the meat and the beans on the other side in the juice.
  4. Roast for about 30 minutes, basting the meat frequently and stirring the beans separately. Slice the meat and serve with the beans and green beans (do not mix).
