- First, cut the schnitzel into thin strips.
- Peel the onions and garlic cloves. Chop the onions and two of the garlic cloves, setting aside a few onion rings for garnish. Place the onions and garlic in a bowl.
- Strip the leaves/needles from the rosemary, thyme, and oregano, finely chop them, and add them to the onions. Mix with two tablespoons of olive oil, add the paprika powder. Then mix in the meat strips, knead vigorously. Let it marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
- For the tsatsiki, finely chop the remaining three garlic cloves or crush them with the back of a knife and add them to the yogurt. Grate the cucumber into a bowl, sprinkle with some salt and let it release its juice. Squeeze out the cucumber shreds and stir them into the yogurt. Season with pepper and let it marinate in the refrigerator.
- Now add the marinated meat to a pan, add the remaining spoon of oil and fry the strips on all sides for about 10 minutes, lightly salt just before they finish cooking. Serve on plates and add the tsatsiki. Decorate with a few onion rings.
