Farmer’s Cordon Bleu

Ingredients for 4 portions

800 g Pork Shoulder Roast
4 Slices Ham Hock
8 Slices Edam Cheese
1 Piece Onion
0.5 Tsp Garlic Salt
2 Pieces Eggs
100 g Breadcrumbs
50 g Flour
500 ml Vegetable Oil

Preparation

  1. Peel, halve, and slice the onion. Then slice the meat with a butterfly cut, pound it, and salt it.
  2. Next, top the meat with ham and cheese, spread the onion on top. Now carefully fold the meat together and secure with roulade pins.
  3. Beat the eggs in a plate. Now coat the meat on both sides with flour, dip in the egg, and roll in breadcrumbs.
  4. Finally, heat the oil in a pan and slowly fry the meat on medium heat, turning once for a nice brown color and finish cooking.
