Preparation
- Wash, clean, and hollow out the pig’s feet. Then cook the removed meat in a pot of water until tender, then mince and mix with the other minced meat.
- Sauté the finely chopped onion in 1 tablespoon of lard in a pot and add to the minced meat along with ham and bacon. Mix in the eggs and season with salt, pepper, marjoram, and crushed garlic.
- Fill the hollowed pig’s feet with the mixture, tie with a string, and brown on all sides in a pot with the remaining lard. Add more water and simmer covered over low heat for about 45 – 60 minutes until cooked through.
