Preparation
- First peel the potatoes and let them cook in a steamer for 45 minutes. In the meantime, cut the smoked pork belly into small pieces, finely chop the washed parsley, add to the smoked pork belly and season with pepper.
- Let the potatoes cool, mash them in a bowl, then add the eggs, salt, 300 g of spelt flour and knead.
- Sprinkle 5 tbsp of spelt flour on the work surface, form a roll from the potato dough, cut into 12 equal pieces and flatten.
- Now add 2-3 tsp of the smoked meat filling, fold together, form a ball and then flatten. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the potato cakes on top. Then bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 60 minutes, turning once in between.
