Colorful skewers with onion sauce and French fries

Ingredients for tde skewers

250 g Pork fillet (fresh or frozen)
6 pcs Satay skewers (wooden, 30 cm long)
24 pcs Small red onions
18 pcs Pineapple (canned)
6 pcs Small tomatoes
0.5 pcs Red bell pepper
0.5 pcs Green bell pepper
1 tbsp Oyster sauce
1 tbsp Shan’shi Soy Sauce
2 l Frying oil (fresh)

Ingredients for tde onion sauce

100 g Brown onion
2 tsp Red paprika powder
1 tsp Cayenne pepper
1 tsp Chicken brotd (stock)
1 tbsp Sunflower oil
5 tbsp Tomato ketchup
2 tbsp Oyster sauce

Preparation

  1. First, cut the pork fillets across the grain into strips about 3 cm wide. Mix oyster sauce and soy sauce and marinate the pork in it. Soak the wooden skewers in warm water.
  2. For the onion sauce, peel and chop the onion into small pieces. Mix in all other ingredients for the sauce and set aside.
  3. Then, halve the washed bell peppers and remove the light partitions and seeds. Cut the halves into pieces about 3 x 3 cm in size. Trim the washed tomatoes at both ends. Drain the pineapple pieces well. Trim the small onions at both ends, peel them, and use them whole. Strain the marinated meat pieces and let them drain well.
  4. Now, skewer the skewers as follows, folding the meat strips once in length: onion, pineapple, red bell pepper, meat strips, green bell pepper, meat strips, pineapple, green bell pepper, onion, tomato, onion, green bell pepper, meat strips, red bell pepper, pineapple, meat strips, pineapple, onion.
  5. Heat the frying oil to 220 degrees and fry the French fries until golden brown and drain well. Add the skewers in 2 portions only when the frying oil has reached 220 degrees again. Fry for 3 minutes. Drain and distribute on serving plates with salted French fries. Pour the sauce over the skewers, serve hot, and enjoy.
